Adventure time is a television series created by Pendleton Ward for Cartoon Network. The series follows the adventures of Finn and his best friend and adoptive brother Jake. Finn and Jake live in the post-apocalyptic Land of Ooo. Along the way, they interact with the other main characters of the show: Princess Bubblegum, The Ice King, and Marceline the Vampire Queen.
Cartoon Network picked it up for a full-length series that previewed on March 11, 2010, and officially premiered on April 5, 2010. Each Adventure Time episode is about eleven minutes in length; pairs of episodes are often telecast in order to fill a half-hour program time slot. The series has completed four seasons of twenty-six episodes each, and is currently on its fifth, which debuted on November 12, 2012. Ever since its debut, Adventure Time has been a ratings success for Cartoon Network. As of March 2012, the show is viewed by approximately 2 to 3 million viewers per week. The show has received positive reviews from critics and has developed a cult following among teenagers and adults, many of whom are attracted due to the series' animation, stories and characters. Adventure Time has also been nominated for five Annie Awards, three Primetime Emmy Awards, two Critics' Choice Television Awards, and a Sundance Film Festival Award, among others. 





Gumball

The Amazing World of Gumball is a television series created by Ben Bocquelet and produced by Cartoon Network Development Studio Europe. It first aired in the United Kingdom on May 2, 2011, on Cartoon Network as a sneak preview and officially premiered on September 5, 2011. In the United States, a sneak peek aired on Cartoon Network on May 3, 2011, and premiered in full on May 9. The program is rated TV-Y7-FV. Interesting plots, lovely style and full of imagination is the most successful part of this show.



Regular show

Regular Show is a television series created by J. G. Quintel for Cartoon Network. The series revolves around the lives of two friends, a Blue Jay named Mordecai and a raccoon named Rigby, both employed as groundskeepers at a park. Their usual attempts to slack off often lead to surreal misadventures that are either over the top or supernatural. The show's tagline, "It's anything but", alludes to this. The series is produced by Cartoon Network Studios. Although the series does not air on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block and is rated TV-PG, it is considered more of an adult animated sitcom rather than a children's cartoon.
The show premiered September 6, 2010, and has since broadcast over four seasons. The show has received general acclaim from critics, has performed successfully in the ratings and has been nominated for an Annie and has won an Emmy.

# 1. Cow and Chicken

Cow and Chicken is a television series created by David Feiss. The story follows the adventures of a cow and her chicken brother. There is another interesting character named “The Red Guy” which is a villain in this show. The cow and Chicken series firstly broadcast from July 15, 1997 to July 24, 1999.




#2. Courage the cowardly Dog

Courage the cowardly Dog is a comedy horror television series created by John R. Dilworth for Cartoon Network. Its central plot revolves around a pink dog named Courage who lives with his owners. Courage and his owners are frequently thrown into bizarre misadventures, often involving the paranormal/supernatural and various villains. The show is known for its surreal, often disquieting humor and bizarre plot twists. The series combines elements of comedy horror, science fantasy, and drama. This series, which premiered on November 12, 1999, ran for four seasons, ending on November 22, 2002 with a total of 52 episodes produced.


#3. Dexter’s Laboratory


Dexter's Laboratory is a comic science fiction television series created by Genndy Tartakovsky for Cartoon Network. The series follows Dexter, a boy-genius with a secret laboratory filled with his collection of inventions. He constantly battles his sister Dee Dee, who always gains access despite his best efforts to keep her out, as well as his arch-rival and neighbor, Mandark. The series' first two seasons contain additional segments: Dial M for Monkey, which focuses on Dexter's pet lab monkey-turned-superhero, and The Justice Friends, about a trio of superheroes who share an apartment. This show premiered on April 28, 1996 by 1999, 52 episodes and a television movie had been produced. Dexter’s Laboratory is the most famous one in Cartoon network and received highly ratings from audience.





Besides these three series, Powerpuff Girls, Scooby-Doo and a lot of series are all the excellent works in my generation. They both have simple and lovely drawing style, strong storytelling, unique visual angle and enjoyment. In my understanding, those traits are the signs of American cartoon.





These shows absolutely represent blogger’s Childhood entertainment. They are all the wonderful memory of my after-school life. Those kind of simple pleasures worth to keep in memory forever.

Introduction & History of Cartoon Network


Cartoon Network (CN) is an cable television network owned by Turner Broadcasting. This channel was firstly launched on Oct. 1, 1992. It was originally a 24-hour channel which play the classic animation. Right now, Cartoon Network make different kinds of shows to cater to different age group. 
The shows mainly included The Moxy Show, Dexter's Laboratory, Cow and Chicken, I Am Weasel, The Powerpuff Girls, Ed, Edd n Eddy, Johnny Bravo, The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Codename: Kids Next Door, and Courage the Cowardly Dog at that time. 
Cartoon Network is a successful television network which have already exist for more than 20 years. It provide quality cartoon series and shows which won over the public.
